Event Architecture

IEC follows a three-stage championship structure. The journey begins with Intra-IIIT Qualifiers, conducted by registered gaming clubs of participating IIITs, where teams compete to represent their institute. Qualified teams then advance to the Inter-IIIT League Stage, facing the best teams from IIITs across the country. The competition culminates in the Grand Finals, where the top-performing teams battle for the title of Inter-IIIT Esports Champion.

Intra-IIIT Qualifiers

Registered gaming clubs at each IIIT conduct their own qualifiers to determine the institute's best teams.

Inter-IIIT League Stage

Qualified teams from participating IIITs compete against one another in a structured league to earn a place in the finals.

Grand Finals

The top-performing teams from the league stage battle for the Inter-IIIT Esports Championship title.

FAQS.

Visit our Participating Colleges page. Find your college card and click on the Intra Registration Google Form link. Fill out and submit the form to register for your college's Intra Qualifiers.

The Register Your Team page is only for teams that have successfully qualified through their college's Intra Qualifiers. Once your team qualifies, you must register here to participate in the next stage of the tournament. This registration will be used to manage your team's participation, provide access to the real-time leaderboard and rankings, and ensure a smooth tournament experience throughout the remaining stages.

The tournament is strictly for college students currently enrolled in any IIIT across India. Furthermore, your IIIT must be officially registered and approved on our platform. You will need to verify your student status using your official college email ID.

No. A single user can only join and play for ONE team. Furthermore, a single team can only register and participate in ONE game. If you wish to play a different game, you must leave or delete your current team and join another one.

If your college is not on the participating list, a representative from your official college esports club (or a student coordinator) must visit the 'College Registration' page on our website, fill out the details, and wait for admin approval.

No, participation in the Inter-IIIT Esports League is completely free of charge.

The tournament consists of three stages. First, each participating IIIT conducts its own Intra Qualifiers to determine the top teams from the college. These qualified teams then advance to the Inter IIIT Stage, where they compete against teams from other IIITs. The highest-performing teams from the Inter IIIT Stage qualify for the Grand Finals, where they battle to become the Inter IIIT Esports Champions.

Yes, all team members must be enrolled in the same IIIT to represent their college. Mixed-college teams are not permitted.

No, emulators are strictly prohibited for BGMI and Free Fire. Any player found using an emulator will result in immediate disqualification of their entire team.

Rosters can be modified only before the registration deadline. Once the tournament brackets are locked, no roster changes or substitutions are allowed.

If a player disconnects, the game will be paused (if the game supports it) for a maximum of 10 minutes. If the player cannot reconnect within the allotted time, the team must continue playing shorthanded.

Recording is not mandatory for early qualifiers, but semi-finals and finals may require at least one player from each team to record their POV for fair play verification.

After the match concludes, the winning team's captain must immediately submit a screenshot of the end-game scoreboard in the designated Discord channel for verification.

Teams are given a strict 15-minute grace period from the scheduled start time. If the opposing team fails to show up, your team will be awarded a default win (walkover).

Yes, as long as all players are currently enrolled students of the same registered IIIT, any mix of degree programs (B.Tech, M.Tech, PhD) is allowed.

No, the mobile tournaments are strictly for smartphones. iPads, tablets, and any similar large-screen devices are not permitted to ensure a level playing field.
